What are the current obstacles?

  1. Outdated Website Design: The current site fails to effectively showcase the impactful work OCNAHN does for Hispanic nurses and the community.

  2. Hidden Membership Features: Important membership applications and key navigation elements are difficult to access.

  3. Poor User Experience: The existing website provides an inefficient and frustrating experience for users, limiting engagement.

  4. Missing Website Maintenance: Currently lacking a dedicated specialist to update the website and keep long term maintenance going.

  5. Logo Too Narrow: The current logo is too specific to Orange County using orange iconography when there is a wider region being expanded into, i.e. Inland Empire.

How will we hurdle these obstacles?

  1. Streamlined Navigation: Pages will be organized intuitively, improving user access to key information across the website.

  2. Expanded Resources: Comprehensive, clear resources that will be available for both nurses and the community in need.

  3. Bilingual Accessibility: All content will be provided in both English and Spanish to enhance inclusivity across the community.

  4. Content Expansion: A new blog and newsletter section will be added to share events and community updates.

  5. Professional Photography: High-quality headshots and event imagery for the website.

  6. Squarespace Hosting: The current technical set up will remain the same to keep it easy and efficient.

  7. Long-Term Website Maintenance: Providing monthly services to upkeep and maintain the website content.

  8. Logo Update: A refreshed logo that reflects the Orange County nursing community and the wider region at whole, similar to other chapters like Phoenix and Houston.

  1. 12-Page Website: A clear, organized website showcasing essential resources, events, gallery, about, and contact sections, built on a scalable foundation for future growth.

  2. Photography: Professional headshots and event photos.

  3. Website Maintenance: Training a group on updating content, and providing standard operating procedures.

  4. Branded Merchandise: 2 T-Shirt designs, and 2 sticker design

  5. Brand Refresh: A modernized logo with a regional focus, along with consistent branding across materials like letterhead, business cards, and outreach brochures, reflecting the community's identity.

Project Milestones

  • 1. Project Proposal & Contract

    Week 1

    This proposal is based upon our Discovery Call meeting and how I can best help. Once the proposal has been agreed upon, a simple, clear contract will be sent to be signed.

    Payment 1 of 2 - 50% due upon signage

  • 2. Website Structure

    Week 2-3

    This serves as the foundation of the website, understanding all of the content and layouts. We'll meet on structure before development begins.

  • 3. Website Dev

    Week 3-6

    This will serve as the main chunk of time to develop the new website based upon the structure steps.

  • 4. Testing & Revisions

    Week 7-8

    We'll test all aspects of the website, any feedback provided for changes to be made. Comb through the website looking at every link, form, button, detail that could be wrong. Any last changes, this will be it.

  • 5. Project Launch + Final Payment

    Week 9

    The exciting final day when the website is live and launched!

    The refresh will start here, I'll go back and take your current logo with the tower, and create new concepts while retaining the original message.

Approvals

Having swift feedback and approvals on visuals and milestones will help keep us on track for completion.

Content Supply

Ensuring we have the proper content ready ahead of time will reduce need to go back and redo work. Let’s have text, images and anything else needed.

Communication

Keeping open communication will again allow us to work together as a team to push through projects. Video calls, and being available for meetings will keep us on track.
